Why Get Tested?
To check for a sexually transmitted disease caused by the bacteria called trichomonas.
When To Get Tested?
When symptoms are present e.g foul-smelling genital discharge, itching, and/or pain or burning during urination. As part of routine screening STD lab for people who are sexually active and at risk for sexually transmitted disease.
Sample Required? The initial portion of the urine stream.
