When to Get Tested
As part of a routine health monitoring laboratory testing at regular intervals and/or when risk factors are present, when prior results showed high-risk levels, monitor effectiveness of treatment, and when signs and symptoms of the disease are present.

A blood sample is obtained by inserting a needle into a vein in your arm and Urine sample collected in a container

Test Preparation Needed
Fasting for at least 8 hours prior to having your blood sample collected i.e sample should be collected before the first meal of the day, only water is permitted. Follow any instructions you are given.
